Haiti Mission Youth Missions began after the earthquake that hit the Island of Port Au Prince in January 2010. We started working hand in hand with the Missionaries of Charity in their various missions: Clinic for malnourished children, Home of the dying, Wounds clinic, St. Joseph’s and St. Therese’s schools. We also help out schools and churches with building projects.
Today we serve hundreds of young adults and families who belong to the most vulnerable groups in Haiti. Since 2010 we have held 31 mission trips, with over 600 missionaries, and counting.

** The fee for the Haiti missions went up this year. Port-au-Prince has a new minimum wage that helps those working to make enough to support their families and increase the standard of living for their communities. Mission Youth remains committed to safety on all our missions and will not cut corners on the security of our lodging and transportation. Our fees pay those who cook and serve breakfast and dinner, drivers, those who serve and provide security in the guest house. Paying fair prices for these services is also an important contribution to rebuild Haiti and the new minimum wage is a great step forward for Haiti.**

Prayer and apostolate together help people awaken to their true potential. The road to home does not end with becoming a recipient of the sacraments. It is a constant journey, and involves living as an active apostle who works to bring others to God.
